Youth Soccer registration (2nd -7th grade) is now open! After registration closes Friday, June 26th and teams are formed, you will be contacted by email by the coach of your team with more details late July or early August. Seasons will start end of August or beginning of September. For more information and registration, please click the button below.
For many years, Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) has provided transportation services to Hope Academy. Beginning this school year, Minneapolis Public Schools is changing transportation for Hope Academy high school students. Eligible students who live in Minneapolis will use Metro Transit Go-To Cards instead of yellow school buses, following the same transportation model used by Minneapolis Public Schools.
We know many families have depended on the current transportation system for years. While this change is being made by MPS, Hope Academy is committed to helping families through this transition and making it as easy as possible. We will be hosting an Transportation Information Night on July 9th to learn about Metro Transit, request a Go-To Card, explore transportation options, and ask questions.
Please check your email for complete details, eligibility information, and other transportation options. If you have questions before July 9, you may submit them through the transportation question form below or contact Transportation@hopeschool.org or 612-540-2820.
Next week, there will be a temporary change to upper school pick-up procedures. Feed my Starving Children will be using the south loop pick-up spot to unload their materials next week, so there will be no pickup at those doors.
Families of 5-8th grade students picking up at 12:30pm should park along 22nd street. Students will exit the building with staff and walk toward 22nd St. to your vehicle for pick-up.
All drop-off procedures will remain the same as well as 3:30pm afternoon pick-ups.
We will be selling used uniforms Monday and Tuesday this week from 8:00am-9:00am. Come to the front office; a parent ambassador will be at the front desk to help you sign-in.
Prices:
Availability will depend on what was donated. Due to sales last week, we have a low inventory of upper school uniforms.
Why do we sell instead of swap? We use the money we raise for teacher/staff appreciation events throughout the year. Last year, we partially funded food or drinks for six different appreciation events!
We’re excited to welcome Feed My Starving Children to Hope Academy for a special meal packing event tonight, June 29th, 6:00pm-8:00pm! Join in to help pack nutritious meals that are shipped around the world to children and families in need. This is a wonderful opportunity for staff, students, parents, and friends to come together and make a global impact.
There is still time to register for tonight! Sign-up below!
Summer athletic practices are currently happening for Basketball, Soccer, Football, Cross Country and Girls Volleyball! If you are interested in a fall sport (for all incoming 8th-12th grade students with the exception of Football/Cross Country which is for 9th-12th grade students only) please make sure you are on the TeamSnap for the sport of your choice. All team communications run through our TeamSnap app. (Football and Cross country are co-op sports through Minnehaha and they will email you their important information weekly).
Fall seasons/tryouts start Aug 17th. All athletes need a current sports physical to be able to come that day. See the post below for some free physical options. Teams are formed the week of Aug 17th-21st. Please email Mrs. Timm at heathertimm@hopeschool.org or send her a Teams message if you need to be added to any of the fall sports TeamSnap groups or if you’re interested in either football or cross-country. You may only play one of those sports since they are all in the same season.
Go Lions!
Remember to get your student's sports physical! If your student will be participating in any of our high school sports teams (8th-12th grade) next year, we need to have a current sports physical on file before they are allowed to participate. Here are a couple places that offer free physicals this summer. Please don't wait until the last minute!
Sports physicals are good for 3 years. You may also get a sports physical from your own doctor or any clinic. Click below for the official Sports Physical Form. This form can also be found on our website under Community Life > Athletics. For any questions, please email Mrs. Timm at heathertimm@hopeschool.org.
