Hope Happenings

No School TODAY (9/21)!

There will be NO SCHOOL today, September 21st due to Staff Development. Enjoy your day off!

Schedule your Home Visit!

Home visits are October 14th-16th! This is a 30-minute non-academic visit to your home intended to deepen relationships between families and teachers. Home visits are a cornerstone of fostering strong relationships between teachers and families at Hope Academy. Through this visit, teachers gain a deeper understanding of the experiences and influences that shape each student, while building meaningful partnerships with parents in support of their child’s growth and education.

Schedule your Home Visit before sign-ups close on Wednesday, October 5th! As you sign up, keep these details in mind:

  • Home Visits are October 14-16th
  • Have multiple scholars? It's fine to schedule all your appointments at once if you'd like all the teachers to come at the same.
  • Upper School scholars will be signed up by grade and Lower School scholars signed up by teacher.
  • There is NO SCHOOL during Home Visits
  • Home Visits are a required parent covenant event

Drop Off Change for 9/28

Due to construction for the new chapel, E. 22nd St. will be closed on the morning of September 28th. Because of this closure, drop off will move to door 32 (located in the north loop parking lot) for the morning of September 28th. This will not affect pick-up. This change is only in effect for one day and drop off will resume as normal the following day.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding!

Coaches Needed: 4-8 Grade Robotics Team

Hope Academy is looking for a volunteer LEGO Robotics coach to lead our students in the first LEGO League Challenge this fall! This is a great opportunity to help students learn STEM and use Lego Robotics kits! The team meets twice a week from 8:30am - 9:45am until their competition in mid-December. There are training opportunities available for the coach.

We are looking for a coach ASAP! If you are interested, please reach out to Andy Johnson at andyjohnson@hopeschool.org.

Partner Day

This week, Hope Academy will be hosting a special event called "Partner Day" for our supporters. This means there will be visitors on campus and in some classrooms. As part of the event, some students will have the opportunity to connect briefly with guests during the school day.

There’s nothing your student needs to prepare in advance, and the school day will proceed as usual. We just wanted to keep you informed in case your child mentions having a visitor!
