Our Lower School establishes solid foundations through a remarkable education.

Students learn to read through phonics, spelling, and vocabulary and develop strong and effective writing skills through word choice, sentence fluency, voice, and story analysis.

In addition to memorizing and mastering tables, equations, and facts, our students gain math skills through manipulation and thinking games.

Students study Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, European history, and American history from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War. Emphasis is also placed on African-American history.

Our hope is that every student will become a follower of Jesus. All classes have daily devotions and prayer circles as well as Bible class. K-2 has worship twice a week, and 3-5 has Chapel weekly.

In 4th grade, the study of Latin language and grammar begins. This continues through 8th grade. In 9th grade, students take Spanish.

Various art techniques are explored (charcoal, chalk pastel, etc.) in a weekly art class. Students also study classical and modern artists.

We emphasize music appreciation in its many forms and genres! Students also learn sacred and secular choral music that is performed during the school year.

Students learn internet safety, keyboarding, and file management as well as basic tools in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Students to have fun through physical activity, teamwork, and basic games and rules 3-4 days per week.
