Job Details
Position Overview: Upper School Before School Center (BSC) Tutor
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 7:45–9:45 a.m.
- Approximately 10 hours/week (school days only)
Pay Rate:
- $19-$22/ hour based on experience
Responsibilities:
- The Academic Support Center has two distinct spaces. This role oversees the BSC room.
- Academic Room: Quiet setting for students to focus on homework completion.
- BSC Room: Engaging space for students to participate in crafts, games, and social interaction.
- Supervise and support the Before School Center, creating a structured and welcoming environment.
- Lead a short morning devotional to encourage spiritual growth.
- Maintain a screen-free environment to promote presence and connection.
- Build positive relationships with students, modeling Christ-like character and care.

- Supportive of the school's mission to foster hope in God within the inner-city neighborhood of Minneapolis by providing youth with an outstanding, Christ-centered education.
- Ability to effectively educate in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.
- Desire to equip the children of the city with an academically rigorous, comprehensive, classical Christian education to prepare them to deal with the complex issues of living in this present society.
- Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.
- BS or BS preferred but not required.
